the wisdom within
unearthing the body’s path to intuition
an 8-week online, immersive experience of embodiment
beginning Monday, October 23rd
our lives are filled with an endless road of choices and decisions.
how do you know which path to choose? how do you know what is right for you?
your body knows what you need.
do you…
see the possibility for living a more full and authentic life, and feel that there’s something blocking or holding you back?
desire to give better care to your body and your self?
feel ready to meet your growing edges and move through them?
want more tools to listen deeply to your body and access your intuition?
desire to show up in a better way for your relationships and your community?
feel ready to grow a life that is healthier and thriving?
through this course you will develop tools to listen more closely to your body,
to process, integrate and move through emotions,
and access your body’s intuitive knowledge.
you will discover that your body is an instrument,
that can play with the experiences and emotions of life.
you will move and dance and breath through your edges.
and you will find a wisdom within that will show you the way.
this course is the culmination of years of training, facilitation and practice.
we have concentrated the most impactful parts of our learnings to create this course,
created to help you access your authentic and inspired self.
The wisdom within was a series of gateways through the discomfort of healing into terrains of beauty, sweetness, and depth. I feel nourished by the small sips of wisdom I received from the facilitators, guests, and other participants. It feels like a compass point to follow, and a few hearty steps down a road toward deeper embodiment, and a deeper sense of kinship with other men, myself and the world. The ripples are nourishing me in my fatherhood, husbandhood, and fellowship with beloveds.

assistant facilitators
Alexandr Soran
Alexandr (he/they) is a second year seminarian, chaplain, outdoorsman and jack of all trades from Kalapuya land in Oregon. An inhabitant and lover of liminal and multiplicitous spaces, his passion lies in exploring material and spiritual power relationships. Alexandr’s current work at Union Theological Seminary in New York addresses white Christian nationalism through liberative theological and interpersonal frameworks of deep solidarity within men’s work. Bringing together multi-religious and ecological liberation theologies, decolonial anti-authoritarianism, intersectional grassroots labor organizing, transformative justice, and trauma-informed spiritual care, he invites men to cultivate a practice of love in which the mind and body shed hierarchical, extractive, colonial modes of relating to human and non-human beings in favor of interdependent, non-dualistic paradigms.

Jonah Jensen
Jonah is a facilitator of healing and awakening with many tools he has collected on the journey. He is a Somatic Experiencing Practicioner, Depth Mindfulness Teacher, Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist, Polarity Therapist, Wilderness Therapy Guide, Ceremonialist, Writer and Photographer. As co-founder of both Holistic Resistance and Grief to Action, Aaron takes the time to hold the stories of black people around homophobia, transphobia, internalized racism, and those that are Chronically UnderTouched. Because oppression is a part of historical and present American culture, the long term impact of those trauma stories should be acknowledged and held as a map for our collective healing. Aaron Johnson practices and invites various methods moving through these stories, such as the communal listening year, sound healing, meditation, and closeness to the earth.

"This has been an incredible experience that has taught me to be more open and honest, with myself and those around me. Men's work is brand new to me, and I couldn't have asked for better guides into exploring my soul. I felt so welcome and safe in delving deep inside to answer questions I hadn't even considered asking. My time in this course will always be with me and help shape who I am going forward in life."

At kinhood, when we say men, we are including everyone who identifies as a man, has been conditioned or socialized as a man, or has experienced life as a man. Our community is made up of a wondrous spectrum of experience and identity, including queer and trans men.
We find that many of the men’s groups we see are bound by certain ideas of masculinity. We are not so concerned with the topic of masculinity, and are more focused on providing support, nourishment, and care for men without regard for how we choose to express our gender or sexuality.
-
For each module, you will receive materials and exercises to work with before a live call. These materials will help you to prepare for the session in a way that is personally relevant and meaningful to you.
The main part of each module is a 2-hour live call with the entire cohort, your cohort guides, and guest educators/facilitators. During this time you will be learning and sharing alongside a dedicated group of men.
Following each live call you will receive a set of readings, journal prompts, and exercises that will help you to embody and integrate the week’s learnings.
-
All of the calls will be recorded and available to you on the course cohort page to watch or review after the live session.
You will have lifetime access to these recordings and all of the course materials to use whenever you’d like.
